Description
Reishi Woodland Loose Leaf Tea contains a single ingredient: thin slices of dried reishi fruiting body. The steeped liquor brews to a deep reddish-brown and carries a dense, bark-like aroma that gradually softens as the steep time lengthens. The flavor is distinctly bitter and woody, with a dry finish that lingers on the palate. Packaged in a resealable bag to preserve the dried slices between uses. Best prepared at 90 degrees Celsius for eight to twelve minutes in a pre-warmed vessel.

The slices are thick and dry with a really distinct woody smell straight out of the bag, exactly what I was hoping for.

Brewed it for ten minutes and the color was this deep red-brown that looked almost like a broth, really striking in the cup.

Very bitter and earthy, which is what the description says, but I was not fully prepared for how strong the bark-like flavor is.

Packaging was neat and the resealable bag kept the slices dry and fresh after a few weeks of use.
